Firefighter Threat Assessment ModelThe Firefighter Threat Assessment Index Model is built from four fire behavior characteristics produced from fire programs such as Farsite and FlamMap. Within a GIS framework the rate of spread, heat intensity, flame length, and fire line intensity all are indexed accordingly to identify areas of Low, Moderate, High, and Very High threat assessment.
