Employment OpportunitiesForester's Co-Op, located in Grass Valley, CA, has ongoing openings for Crew Foremen, Forestry Technicians and Environmental Scientist to conduct field work for clientele through the State of California. Anticipation of long-term hire can be expected depending on employees’ performance and capabilities. We offer above average compensation and rapid advancement. Primary work responsibilities will be to assist staff Professional Foresters with field work such as timber marking, GPS mapping, timber cruising, fuel load inventories, vegetation control application, plan layout, as well as data processing for analytical analysis for CEQA/NEPA related projects. Successful applicants must be able to be productive working long hours in inclement weather and harsh field conditions. Education and introduction to GIS and GPS software and equipment is available through the completion of project work. Team work ethic, excellent communication skills, and Microsoft application proficiencies are required.
